Solutions from Past Wins

ATP's team is comprised of experienced, accomplished engineers who have been privy to participate in some of the industry's most coveted opportunities, allowing us to boast DAWIA-III certification in Acquisition Program Management, experiences as customer advocates at various Agencies, and having performed computer network installs both locally and abroad. These unique experiences and successes allow us to provide desirable solutions for our client's most challenging systems, software, network and acquisition problems.

ATP's "First-Pass" Concept

One hallmark of the ATP spirit is an unwavering commitment to a concept called "first-pass success." This concept calls for a commitment to the identification (and oft times implementation) of desirable solutions to a client's engineering, acquisition and program management problems - all in a program's first iteration cycle. ATP has had the chance to demonstrate the first-pass success concept in both software and systems environments in capacities from lay engineers to system leads. ATP members have found that this mantra leads to lasting results that are both time-efficient and cost-effective.

ATP's "first-pass" success is made possible by engineering professionals who remain at the heart of technical designs, yet are able to work hand-in-hand with technical and non-technical clients alike.

Troy Bundy - Managing Principal

Troy naturally excelled at both math and engineering sciences early on and developed a strong appreciation for both after being introduced to the subjects by his father and late grandfather while still in elementary school. By the time he reached high school, Troy was accepted into a selective program where he served as an engineering apprentice. His accomplishments in high school in this area allowed him to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he majored in both electrical engineering and computer science. After graduating and earning bachelors degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, Troy ended up working in electrical engineering, systems engineering, and computer engineering in 3 different organizations over a span of 11 years. During this time, he also went back to school earning a masters degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland at Baltimore County. Additionally, he gained diverse work experience by working at both large and small organizations, and picked up some enterpreneurial experiences as well.

These experiences proved invaluable when Troy partnered with Adrian Irby to create Avid Technology Professionals. While at ATP, Troy initially focussed on creating ATP's infrastructure to include solving operational challenges and flushing out efficient business processes for accounting, human resources, internal information technology and network setup, and software efficiency solutions. Troy also significantly contributed to the business development side of the company by spearheading a number of recruiting initiatives, contract acquisition and management, and customer engagement. And as a result, in over 11 years of business, ATP has obtained both prime and subcontracts at over 6 federal agencies and has employed hundreds of engineers, while participating in dozens of government contracts. Troy still works with the rest of the ATP management team to continue to propel ATP to the forefront, making it one of fastest growing defense contracting firms in this region.
